Internal Auditor & Accountant – Arabic Speaking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor with a strong background in the contracting and construction sector. The role involves reviewing financial and operational processes, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Arabic‑speaking candidates with relevant industry experience are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal audits of financial and operational activities, including project costs, subcontractor payments, and supplier transactions.
• Review accounting transactions, purchase orders, invoices, payroll, petty cash and other project‑related expenses.
• Assess procurement and payment processes for proper approvals and policy compliance.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and corrective actions, and follow up with departments to ensure resolution.
• Assist management in strengthening financial controls and reducing operational and financial risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field.
• Mandatory internal audit experience in a contracting/construction company.
• Strong understanding of project costing, procurement, subcontractor transactions, and contracting operations.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent Arabic with good working knowledge of English.
