About the role
The role involves establishing and maintaining an independent audit function to provide assurance and consultancy services, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and professional standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute internal audits, collect and analyse data, and provide improvement recommendations.
- Prepare and present accurate, objective audit reports to management.
- Review systems, policies and procedures for regulatory compliance.
- Maintain professional standards and the Code of Ethics throughout the audit team.
- Integrate risk management into new and existing processes and systems.
- Prepare timely departmental statements and reports to meet organisational reporting requirements.
