Inventory Manager – Retail

About the role

The Inventory Manager will lead inventory operations across PlaceUp’s retail stores, warehouses and distribution channels in Dubai. You will ensure optimal stock availability, accurate records and efficient movement while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full inventory cycle from receiving and storage to distribution and store replenishment.
• Monitor stock levels across stores and warehouses to maintain optimal availability.
• Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, policies and best practices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP, POS and inventory management systems.
• Coordinate stock transfers between warehouses and retail outlets.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, sales and retail teams to ensure smooth stock flow.
• Analyze historical sales and inventory data to support replenishment decisions.
• Prepare regular inventory reports and provide insights to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably within retail.
• Strong understanding of retail inventory processes, stock replenishment and warehouse operations.
• Excellent organizational, communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Experience using POS and inventory management software.
• Advanced Excel for large‑volume data analysis.
• Data analysis and problem‑solving capabilities.
