Islamic A & B Teacher

About the role

GEMS Dubai American Academy is looking for an Islamic A & B Teacher to join its faculty in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The position focuses on delivering Islamic Education to two distinct student streams: native Arabic speakers (Stream A) and learners for whom Arabic is a second language (Stream B). The teacher will conduct classes in both Arabic and English, ensuring that instructional content is accessible to all students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Islamic Education lessons tailored to the linguistic needs of both native and non‑native Arabic speakers.
• Utilise bilingual instruction in Arabic and English to facilitate comprehension and engagement across both streams.
• Assess student learning outcomes regularly and provide feedback that supports academic progress in both languages.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to align lesson content with the school’s overall curriculum framework.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience teaching Islamic Education to both native and non‑native student groups.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, enabling effective bilingual classroom instruction.

Required skills

• Strong classroom management and the ability to deliver clear, bilingual instruction.
