Islamic Studies Teacher (Islamic A) – FS2 & Primary

About the role

English Language Private School, a British‑curriculum school in Dubai, is looking for a qualified Islamic Studies Teacher (Islamic A) to join the team for the 2026‑27 academic year. The role focuses on delivering the UAE Islamic Education curriculum to Arab students in FS2 and Primary, creating engaging and age‑appropriate learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Islamic Education lessons aligned with UAE curriculum requirements.
• Provide engaging, age‑appropriate learning experiences for FS2 and Primary students.
• Assess and monitor student attainment and progress, using assessment data to inform teaching.
• Support students in developing Islamic knowledge, values, character, and practical application in daily life.
• Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and personal development.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of Islamic Education across the school.
• Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and parents.

Required profile

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree meeting KHDA teacher appointment requirements.
• Recognised teaching qualification meeting KHDA standards.
• Experience teaching Islamic Studies (Islamic A) to Arab students.
• Strong Arabic proficiency suitable for teaching Islamic Education.
• Good knowledge of the UAE Islamic Education curriculum.
• Experience with FS2 and/or Primary‑aged learners is highly desirable.
• Previous UAE school experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English within a professional school environment.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Availability to start at the beginning of the 2026‑27 academic year.
