About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an Islamic Studies Teacher for Virginia American School, starting in November 2026. The role involves delivering engaging Islamic Studies lessons to a diverse student body and contributing to the school’s inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver curriculum‑aligned Islamic Studies lessons that cater to the full ability range.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and parents to ensure student success and well‑being.
• Assess, record and analyse student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback at parent‑teacher meetings.
• Maintain classroom discipline in line with the school’s behaviour policy and act as a positive role model.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events, and run a weekly extracurricular activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1‑2 years of experience teaching the American curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the American curriculum and Islamic Studies content.
• Proficiency in using assessment data to inform planning.
• Experience with classroom management and inclusive teaching strategies.
