IT Manager (Construction/Fit-Out)

About the role

Gateworth Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading construction and fit-out client in the UAE, which is making its first in-house IT hire. The IT Manager takes full ownership of the company's IT function, covering day-to-day management, support, development and strategic direction of the IT infrastructure, systems and end-user environment. It is a hands-on role requiring L1, L2 and L3 support expertise, with a focus on Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms, and contributes to wider technology, AI and digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the stability, security and performance of all technology systems across the business.
• Provide hands-on L1, L2 and L3 support for about 80 employees, covering end-user issues, onboarding and offboarding, devices, software and daily IT operations.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune.
• Manage servers, networking, firewalls, VPNs, backups, cybersecurity and business continuity planning.
• Identify and implement improvements and digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency and scalability.
• Lead the adoption of AI and emerging technologies to boost productivity and collaboration.

Required profile

• 5+ years in an IT Manager, IT Lead, Systems Administrator or Senior IT Support role.
• Proven L1, L2 and L3 support experience across infrastructure, systems, networks and end-user environments.
• Experience managing IT environments for 50-150 employees, including infrastructure, cybersecurity and business continuity.
• Ability to work independently and balance operational support with strategic initiatives.
• Passion for AI, emerging technologies and digital transformation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; experience in construction, fit-out, interiors, engineering or architecture is highly desirable.
