IT Support Engineer

About the role

Noorka Logistics is looking for a skilled and dedicated IT Support Engineer in Dubai to maintain its IT systems and provide technical assistance to employees. The role ensures reliable IT services and supports the company's daily logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software and IT-related issues.
• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot operating system, application, network and connectivity problems.
• Set up and manage user accounts, email accounts and access permissions.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
• Monitor network connectivity and resolve basic LAN, Wi-Fi and internet issues.
• Perform routine system updates, software installations and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with data backup, recovery and basic information security procedures.
• Maintain records of IT assets, software licences and support requests.
• Support logistics software, shipment tracking systems and office applications.
• Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate repairs or replacements; install antivirus software and follow IT security policies.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and document issues and solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Previous experience as an IT Support Engineer, IT Technician or Help Desk Executive preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritise requests, manage several tasks, work independently and collaborate with other departments.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, printers and common office applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi.
• Knowledge of antivirus tools, data backup and IT security practices.
• Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
