IT System Administrator

About the role

LIN SCAN is seeking a passionate and professional IT System Administrator to join its IT team at the head office in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah. The role involves troubleshooting, managing enterprise‑level infrastructure, and providing user support to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Fujitsu and HP rack servers.
• Administer Fujitsu Ethernus DX FC fabric storage and Brocade FC SAN switches.
• Oversee Fujitsu tape library and Veeam backup solutions.
• Maintain VMware clusters.
• Provide user support through a ServiceDesk platform.
• Configure and manage PFsense (FreeBSD/Linux) firewalls.
• Handle Microsoft Active Directory, replication, and Group Policy across remote sites.
• Manage Cisco Catalyst L2/3 network infrastructure.
• Administer Kaspersky security suite policies.
• Keep documentation, policies, and asset database up to date.
• Coordinate contractors and service agreements.
• Manage Microsoft Exchange and related services.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies.
• Minimum 3 years of system administration experience.
• Proven experience in a service‑desk environment supporting end users.
