IT Technician

About the role

The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking an IT Technician to deliver high‑level technical support to staff and students across the campus. You will join a well‑established, supportive team and help maintain a secure, reliable ICT environment in a multicultural, international school setting.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues on school computers and laptops.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and updates on all IT equipment, including servers and networking devices.
• Provide hands‑on assistance for interactive whiteboards, projectors, printers, photocopiers, phones and other peripheral devices.
• Ensure the security and proper asset management of all ICT resources.
• Log, prioritise and track support requests using the school’s IT helpdesk system.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in IT support and help‑desk environments.
• Degree‑level education in a relevant discipline (preferred).
• High personal integrity, attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Preferably already residing in Abu Dhabi.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Office 365 suite.
• Experience using help‑desk support systems.
• Knowledge of IT equipment maintenance and peripheral device troubleshooting.
• Understanding of ICT asset security practices.
