IT/CAFM Team Leader – Facilities Management

About the role

KUFM is seeking an experienced IT/CAFM Team Leader to oversee all digital systems that support Facilities Management for a large university student accommodation project in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure seamless integration, data accuracy, and compliance with contractual performance and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, operate and maintain the CAFM platform, supporting preventive maintenance, reactive work orders, SLAs and lifecycle planning.
• Manage integration between CAFM, ERP, IoT devices and BMS dashboards, including API and middleware data exchanges.
• Administer user accounts, roles, permissions and workflow configurations within the CAFM system.
• Oversee the Helpdesk system as the primary FM service interface, ensuring proper ticket logging, escalation and SLA reporting.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards covering SLA compliance, utilities consumption and key KPIs.
• Manage FM‑related servers, networks, backups, storage and ensure system security, redundancy and failover.
• Administer IDF racks, network switches, patch panels, LAN/WAN, VLANs and routing protocols.
• Implement cybersecurity controls, firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection and access‑control measures.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line support for CAFM and related IT issues and train FM staff on digital tools.
• Liaise with ICT, security teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing CAFM platforms and related FM IT infrastructure.
• Strong background in system integration, API management and middleware.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, server administration and data security.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and dashboards for contractual compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for training staff and coordinating with stakeholders.
