ITS Engineer – C-ITS/V2X

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced ITS Engineer (C-ITS/V2X) to support the Resident Engineer in technical, administrative and operational aspects of deploying, integrating, testing, commissioning and accepting Cooperative Intelligent Transportation System solutions in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision of C-ITS/C-V2X system deployment, integration, testing, commissioning and operational readiness.
• Review and approve functional system design documents, interface control documents, use‑case definitions and communications architecture.
• Validate integration, interoperability and system test plans, including FAT, SAT, UAT, coverage and cybersecurity testing.
• Monitor compliance with C‑ITS standards (C‑Roads, ETSI, SAE, IEEE, ISO, CEN, 3GPP) and contract requirements.
• Coordinate integration between the C‑ITS platform, ATMS, field ITS devices, telecom networks and cloud platforms.
• Witness installation, configuration, calibration and testing of RSUs, OBUs, edge devices and communications equipment.
• Support evaluation of variation orders, change orders and software enhancements affecting C‑ITS functionality.
• Maintain status logs, issue registers and provide punch lists and final acceptance recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in ITS, transportation systems, telecommunications or smart mobility projects.
• At least 5 years of experience with C‑ITS, connected vehicle, V2X or C‑V2X deployments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer, Electrical, Transportation Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of C‑ITS and C‑V2X system architecture, V2I/I2V communications and related standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Arabic language capability is a plus.
