Java Developer

About the role

Careers International is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer to join its Software Development team in Dubai. The developer will develop and maintain software products and projects, focusing on data analysis and database business logic, with a solid grasp of Java, Oracle databases and web services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software modules, including Oracle database storage processes, packages, triggers and functions
• Establish and maintain Java program interfaces, and configure, build and test application components
• Work with developers, functional and technical teams so that configurations and custom components meet application requirements
• Take part in code reviews and quality reviews to ensure designs are traceable to requirements
• Use automation tools for design, fix defects and performance issues found during testing

Required profile

• Bachelor's or college degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent; professional license passed (Board/Bar exam)
• Preferably 2 years of experience in IT/software
• Team player with good English communication skills and ability to adapt to company culture

Required skills

• Java (JavaSE, JavaEE), object-oriented programming and MVC architecture
• SQL, MyBatis/iBATIS, Spring and knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration patterns
• Preferred: Java Spring, Oracle, Linux, SVN (preferably Git)
