About the role
The Judicial Assistant provides essential legal and administrative support to Resident Judges and the Registry of the DIFC Courts. This role ensures the smooth preparation of judgments, orders, and related documents while maintaining high standards of research and editorial quality.
Key responsibilities
- Draft judgments and orders after reviewing case briefs and consulting with Resident Judges.
- Conduct legal research and present findings to Judges and Registry staff.
- Provide editorial assistance for judgments, articles, and other legal documents.
- Attend hearings, prepare related documents, and draft bench memoranda as required.
- Draft Practice Directions and Guidance Notes to promote consistency and efficiency.
- Coordinate case assignments with Case Progression Officers and the Registry.
- Participate in ad‑hoc projects and other judicial support tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
- 2‑5 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably within courts or similar institutions.
