Junior Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

Royal Horizon Group is looking for a Junior Accountant specializing in Accounts Payable to join its finance team in Ajman. The role focuses on processing supplier invoices, maintaining AP ledgers, and supporting daily payable operations while ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, match, and process vendor invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, and approval records.
• Maintain supplier ledgers, perform monthly statement reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare payment vouchers and assist with payment processing via bank transfers and cheques.
• Review employee expense submissions and ensure proper supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end AP closing routines, audit preparation, and UAE VAT record‑keeping compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in accounts payable or general accounting (fresh graduates with strong academic background considered).
• Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of AP reconciliation practices.
