Junior Accountant – Hospitality & E‑commerce

About the role

Stella Stays is seeking a Junior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for its fast‑growing hospitality and e‑commerce business in the UAE. The role will support the finance team by ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation and reporting in line with international accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily sales invoices in Zoho Books and reconcile bank statements and OTA payments.
• Manage e‑commerce settlements and clear related clearing accounts.
• Process accounting transactions according to GAAP and IFRS (including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 16).
• Verify and post monthly expenses, accruals, provisions and OTA commissions.
• Perform related‑party reconciliations and oversee accounts receivable collections.
• Lead month‑end closing activities and prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Assist internal and external auditors as required.
• Take on additional ad‑hoc tasks to keep finance operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in hospitality accounting and handling OTA payouts is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with e‑commerce platforms and clearing‑account reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 16).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA are advantageous.
