About the role
The Junior Accountant will manage the full cycle of vendor invoice processing, payments, bank reconciliations and VAT compliance for multiple companies in Abu Dhabi, ensuring accurate financial records and regulatory adherence.
Key responsibilities
- Process and validate vendor tax invoices, ensuring compliance with FTA regulations and proper supporting documentation.
- Execute payments by coordinating with Treasury Payable and booking transactions to the correct accounts.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Calculate and report Input/Output VAT, prepare summaries and maintain organized VAT archives.
- Issue tax invoices to customers for commercial activities and manage petty cash transactions.
- Book monthly payroll accruals, reconcile salary ledgers and support internal/external audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in accounting, preferably accounts payable/receivable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations and audit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet deadlines.
