Junior Data Scientist – Commercial Graduate Scheme (Dubai)

About the role

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to join its Commercial Graduate Scheme in Dubai. This full‑time, permanent position will support the trading team by turning large, complex datasets into actionable insights and predictive models.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and structure large datasets from market, fundamental, and operational sources.
• Develop and validate predictive models (e.g., wind generation, demand) to support trading strategies.
• Prototype, back‑test, and refine data‑driven trading ideas; collaborate with analytics and development teams to productionise solutions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and automated tooling to streamline workflows.
• Utilise LLMs and agentic frameworks to accelerate exploratory data analysis, automate data‑cleaning pipelines, and generate synthetic data for model robustification.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional interested in data science within the energy trading sector.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai; visa sponsorship and relocation assistance provided.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with agentic frameworks and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Knowledge of multimodal AI models.
