Junior Designer – Facade (Aluminum Manufacturing)

About the role

The Junior Designer will support the design and technical team in creating detailed drawings and documentation for aluminum fabrication and façade projects. You will work under the guidance of senior designers to ensure all design deliverables meet project specifications and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical, shop, and fabrication drawings for aluminium windows, doors, curtain walls, cladding and other architectural aluminium products.
• Develop 2D drawings and basic 3D models, review architectural drawings, and identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with engineering, production and site teams to ensure drawings are suitable for fabrication and installation.
• Assist in material take‑offs, cutting lists, and quantity schedules, and incorporate design revisions from clients and consultants.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in aluminium manufacturing, façade systems or architectural aluminium design, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong attention to detail, good coordination and problem‑solving abilities, and willingness to learn under senior guidance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
• Familiarity with aluminium windows, doors, curtain walls, façade systems and aluminium profiles.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications and shop drawings.
• Basic knowledge of fabrication processes, material specifications and installation methods.
