Junior Graphic Designer

About the role

The Independent Food Company, a UAE-based hospitality group with several brands including SALT, Shalwa, Kumo, Parker's, Somewhere and Public, is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join its Creative team. You will work with a particular brand to create food-related content for use across multiple platforms, with guidance and support from senior designers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creative process, from understanding project requirements to producing high-quality graphics.
• Assist in shaping the visual identity of product packaging and retail pop-ups, ensuring a consistent brand presence.
• Create and adapt professional design assets using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Turn marketing and production briefs into compelling visuals across digital and print platforms.
• Prepare and adapt design materials for multiple formats while following brand guidelines closely.
• Collaborate with the Creative team, contribute fresh ideas and take feedback and revisions positively, delivering work on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in graphic design (internships included).
• A portfolio showing food, hospitality, retail or packaging work (a bonus, not essential).
• Good eye for detail, layout and typography.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
