Junior Maintenance Technician – Engineering

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to support its technical services workshops in Dubai. The role involves assisting senior technicians with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on a wide range of equipment, vehicles, and plant used in aviation ground support.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily maintenance tasks in the assigned workshop area.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and care for tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on equipment, vehicles, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, GPU, PCA and generators to minimise downtime.
• Record all work activities in the log book and Maintenance Management System.
• Follow safety procedures and report any required spare parts or tools.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations, ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and plant for reliability and safety.

Required profile

• Two‑year trade certificate or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in maintenance within a large organization, preferably aviation ground support or cargo handling.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, electronic, automotive, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced workshop environment and follow documented procedures.
