Junior Speech & Language Therapist

About the role

This role provides specialized speech and language therapy for children and adolescents with speech, language and communication challenges, with a strong focus on autism and neurodevelopmental conditions. You will work closely with families and a multidisciplinary pediatric team to support each child's communication development through evidence-based interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for children aged 2-18 years.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy and treatment plans.
• Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions where appropriate.
• Support children with ASD, language delays, articulation disorders, fluency difficulties and social communication challenges.
• Provide parent coaching, guidance and home programs to encourage therapy carryover.
• Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, behavioral therapists and pediatric specialists for integrated care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, progress reports and treatment records.
• Monitor therapy outcomes and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Ensure clinical practice aligns with DHA regulations and clinic standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Active DHA license as Speech and Language Therapist (mandatory).
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant pediatric experience (ages 2-18).
• Preferred experience in pediatric clinics, rehabilitation or schools.

Required skills

• Pediatric speech and language therapy experience.
• Expertise supporting children with ASD.
• Knowledge of language development, articulation, fluency and pragmatics.
• Speech assessment and individual treatment plan development.
• Parent coaching, AAC methods (PECS/devices) and case management.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration and strong communication skills.
