Kitchen and Laundry Technician

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and efficient Kitchen and Laundry Technician to join our team at Rixos Al Mairid in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this position you will maintain the cleanliness and functionality of both kitchen and laundry facilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and strict adherence to hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, clean and maintain kitchen and laundry equipment such as dishwashers, washing machines, dryers and cooking appliances.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitising tasks in kitchen and laundry areas following established procedures.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist in the proper storage and organisation of kitchen utensils, linens and other supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with kitchen and housekeeping staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
• Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance and inventory.

Required profile

• Proficiency in operating various kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitising procedures.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Food safety certification preferred.
