Kitchen Commis I – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Commis I assists the chefs in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards and quality of food preparation at the Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standard procedures, recipe cards, photographs and given instructions.
• Assist the Chef de Partie/Demi Chef de Partie/Commis I in developing and strictly following standard recipes.
• Participate in product development and support smooth, efficient kitchen operations.
• Apply sound knowledge of cuisines and food‑service sanitation to perform duties efficiently.
• Maintain complete knowledge and adherence to Four Seasons Food Standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork and a positive attitude at all times.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a luxury brand.
• Outgoing personality with a can‑do approach to tasks.
• High level of understanding and knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of various cuisines.
• Food service sanitation practices.
• Adherence to Four Seasons Food Standards.
