KS5 English Teacher (August 2027)

About the role

GEMS Metropole School - Al Waha, a British curriculum school in Dubai's Al Waha community, is looking to appoint a KS5 English teacher starting in August 2027. The school opened in 2023 and currently teaches students from FS1 to Year 11; a Sixth Form opens in August 2027. The role is described as a BTEC Hospitality Teacher position focused on developing students' vocational knowledge and practical skills for the hospitality industry.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English or a relevant subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English at secondary level, with the ability to teach KS5 English.
• Experience delivering A Level English Language, English Literature or the relevant post-16 qualification is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons that develop students' analytical, written communication and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to contribute to the wider school life through enrichment activities, extracurricular programmes and community engagement.
