Kubernetes Platform Architect – Remote (UAE)

About the role

The VKS Application Engineering team is looking for a seasoned Kubernetes Platform Architect to help enterprise customers adopt VMware Kubernetes Service (VKS) on VMware Cloud Foundation. This remote position supports customers across the UAE and focuses on solution design, proof‑of‑concept execution, and modernization guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding enterprise customers through design, validation, and deployment of VKS on VCF.
• Collaborate with field account teams to align solution architecture with customer priorities.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and proof‑of‑concepts to demonstrate business value.
• Partner with sales to develop proposals addressing workload placement, modernization goals, and operational transformation.
• Provide prescriptive guidance on Kubernetes adoption, DevOps/CI‑CD integration, scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
• Build and share reference architectures, deployment patterns, and technical assets.
• Deliver clear technical presentations to architects, executives, and other stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry trends and feed field feedback to product management and engineering.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, or enterprise IT architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Proven success working directly with enterprise customers to deliver technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Strong collaboration ability with sales and product teams.
• Self‑starter with curiosity and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
