Kubernetes Platform Engineer

About the role

Oivan is seeking an experienced Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join its UAE team. You will design, build, operate and troubleshoot enterprise‑grade Kubernetes platforms, including GPU‑enabled clusters for AI/ML workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and operate production RKE2 clusters across on‑premise, air‑gapped and hybrid environments.
• Set up and manage SUSE Rancher Manager in high‑availability mode, handling upgrades, backups, RBAC and downstream cluster provisioning.
• Deploy and operate NVIDIA GPU Operator on RKE2, configure drivers, device plugins, GPU sharing (MIG, time‑slicing) and support AI/ML workloads.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and Ansible and build CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) with GitOps tools such as Rancher Fleet, Argo CD or Flux.
• Implement and manage Istio service mesh, Helm/Kustomize packaging, monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana, and harden clusters using CIS benchmarks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of IT experience with at least 3 years administering Kubernetes in production.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across nodes, pods, networking, storage, certificates and control‑plane components.
• Hands‑on experience with Rancher Manager, NVIDIA GPU Operator and CI/CD/GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency in Linux administration (SLES, RHEL, Ubuntu) and networking fundamentals.
• Advanced English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
