Labs Supervisor – Behavioral Research & Computer Labs

About the role

The Labs Supervisor will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the Behavioral Research Lab and computer laboratories within the School of Business Administration, supporting faculty and student research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, scheduling, and support for laboratory‑based experiments and data collection.
• Maintain computers, servers, networks, software, and research equipment in coordination with IT Services.
• Install, configure, test and troubleshoot research software platforms such as oTree, z‑Tree, Qualtrics, Prolific and MTurk.
• Develop and manage participant recruitment systems and ensure compliance with privacy and ethical standards.
• Provide technical assistance for data extraction, cleaning, visualization and preliminary analysis.
• Prepare regular reports on lab usage, software licenses, equipment inventory and budget forecasts.
• Coordinate software licensing, renewals, procurement and vendor relationships.
• Maintain documentation, policies, user guides and train faculty, staff and students on lab systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in laboratory management, research administration or research technology support, preferably in higher education.
• Strong project‑management, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, researchers, students and technical teams.

• Programming and statistical tools: Python, R, Stata, SPSS, SAS, SQL.
• Experimental platforms: oTree, z‑Tree, Qualtrics.
• Survey and participant management: Prolific, MTurk.
• Database administration, Git/GitHub version control.
• Web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Data visualization: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
