Land Surveyor - Bridge Maintenance Project

About the role

Egis Group is recruiting a Land Surveyor for a bridge maintenance project in Abu Dhabi. The role covers land and engineering surveys for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation and construction, working closely with project and site engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct land and engineering surveys for bridge maintenance, rehabilitation and construction projects.
• Perform site surveys, measurements and setting out works according to approved drawings and project requirements.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks and reference coordinates.
• Carry out topographic surveys, alignment checks, level surveys and as-built surveys for bridge structures.
• Prepare survey reports, drawings and documentation, and maintain proper survey records.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers and construction teams, and verify site dimensions, levels and positions of structural elements before and during construction.
• Identify and report discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings, and support preparation of as-built drawings and final documentation.
• Ensure survey activities comply with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Land Surveyor on bridge construction, bridge maintenance, infrastructure or civil engineering projects in the UAE.
• Proven experience in setting out and surveying works for bridges, roads and infrastructure.
• Valid UAE driving licence and own car are mandatory.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Operating Total Station, GPS, Auto Level and other surveying instruments.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of surveying methods, calculations and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of UAE project standards and requirements.
