Landscape Architect – Site Supervision

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Landscape Architect to lead on‑site supervision of landscape works for large transportation, road and utility projects in the United Arab Emirates. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and involves ensuring that all landscape construction complies with design intent, project specifications and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise landscape construction activities on‑site, verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, and progress of planting, irrigation and hardscape installations.
• Conduct site inspections, produce inspection reports, snagging lists and progress assessments.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements and material approvals related to landscape works.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary supervision teams including roads, utilities, civil and infrastructure engineers.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met throughout the construction phase.
• Support project close‑out, testing, commissioning and handover activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum eight years of experience in landscape architecture and site supervision, preferably on transportation, road or utility projects in the UAE.
• Strong consultancy‑side construction supervision background with proven experience in landscape and irrigation works.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements and local construction standards.
