Landscape BIM Coordinator

About the role

A team of two BIM Coordinators is needed in Abu Dhabi to coordinate and manage BIM workflows across multiple projects, integrating landscape architecture and engineering disciplines. The role works five days a week and involves developing BIM standards, managing 3D models and supporting landscape design deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage BIM workflows across projects, integrating landscape architecture and engineering.
• Develop, implement and enforce BIM standards and protocols for landscape and site development projects.
• Create, manage and refine 3D models in Revit and other BIM tools, covering grading, planting, hardscapes and irrigation systems.
• Resolve clashes and align landscape design with engineering requirements through stakeholder collaboration.
• Review BIM models for quality control against project specifications, design intent and landscape standards.
• Help prepare landscape design presentations, construction documents and visualizations from BIM outputs.
• Work with the BIM Manager to optimise workflows and meet delivery deadlines.
• Train teams on BIM software for landscape applications, including topography modeling, site grading and planting design.
• Keep up with BIM technology advances that benefit landscape architecture and site development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role, focused on landscape architecture projects.
• Experience in landscape design processes: site modeling, contour grading, hardscape detailing, planting plans and irrigation systems.
• Ability to resolve clashes and coordinate design, and to handle several projects at once with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion or other landscape modeling and rendering tools.
• Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
• Clash resolution using Navisworks or BIM 360.
• Understanding of landscape challenges such as sustainability, water demand, shading studies and cost considerations.
