Landscape Engineer

About the role

EFS Facilities Services is seeking a technically strong and execution‑focused Landscape Engineer to oversee landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and horticulture operations across its facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that landscaped areas meet client expectations, sustainability goals, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day landscape maintenance across assigned sites.
• Maintain lawns, plants, trees, shrubs, and soft‑scape areas to required standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise irrigation systems for efficient water use.
• Supervise landscape teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective service delivery.
• Apply horticulture practices including fertilisation, pruning, and pest control.
• Conduct regular inspections to preserve site aesthetics and vegetation health.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, plants, and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, water‑management policies, and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain records, reports, schedules, and maintenance logs.
• Support mobilisation, audits, and client inspections.
• Identify improvement opportunities for sustainability, efficiency, and cost optimisation.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture within facilities management, infrastructure, or large‑scale developments.
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems, plant care, and landscape maintenance practices.
• Experience managing landscape teams and coordinating site activities.
• Ability to monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure service quality.
• Knowledge of water‑efficiency and sustainable landscaping practices (preferred).
• Proactive attitude with strong ownership and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in site‑based environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
