Language Teacher - Early Learning Centre

About the role

The HEI Early Learning Centre, a Reggio Emilia-inspired nursery acquired by HEI UAE in August 2024, is looking for a language teacher. The teacher's main responsibility is the safety and linguistic education of all children in the centre, following HEI operational guidelines and a pedagogical approach to early childhood education. The post is based in Dubai and is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver activities and lesson plans according to the HEI curriculum and classroom schedule
• Prepare classroom activities in line with HEI curriculum and KHDA language guidelines, and provide learning materials and resources
• Observe and evaluate children's progress, keep records and report as per HEI guidelines
• Maintain daily contact with parents, including parent-teacher conferences, and keep attendance, time sheets and other records
• Manage behaviour positively, keep the classroom clean and safe, and keep accident records
• Update child-centred displays and children's portfolios, and inspect and maintain classroom inventory
• Support the Nursery Principal and teaching assistants, attend training and stay up to date with local and national regulations
• Monitor lesson expenses, coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with health, safety and safeguarding rules
• Engage parents and the community through events, open houses and workshops

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or an NCFE CACHE Level 3 certificate or a Bachelor in Arabic
• At least 2 years of experience working with children in a nursery or early learning setting
• Fluency in English and Arabic
