Laundry Valet – Guest Laundry Services

About the role

The Laundry Valet ensures that all guest and hotel laundry is processed quickly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of cleanliness and care. Working within the resort’s laundry department, you will handle a variety of garments and linens while maintaining safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest and hotel laundry according to SOPs, ensuring items are clean and in good condition.
• Safely store, handle, and use laundry chemicals, following safety guidelines.
• Operate laundry machines in line with manufacturer instructions, respecting weight limits and cycle requirements.
• Separate linens by use and colour, and sort guest laundry for washing, dry‑cleaning, or pressing.
• Collect laundry from guest rooms promptly and deliver cleaned items back, respecting “Do Not Disturb” requests.
• Verify that all guest items have been properly processed before delivery.
• Provide billing details to the cashiering department at shift end.
• Assist colleagues with assignments and perform additional hotel duties as needed.

Required profile

• Knowledge of hotel laundry procedures and garment care.
• Basic understanding of fabric types, stain removal methods, and laundry symbols.
• Ability to complete laundry request forms and accurately tag guest garments.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail to prevent loss or damage of guest clothing.
• Basic communication skills for professional interaction with guests and team members.
• Awareness of hotel safety, hygiene, and security protocols.
