Laundry Valet – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Laundry Valet ensures that all guest and hotel laundry is processed quickly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of cleanliness and care. Working within the resort’s laundry department, you will handle collection, sorting, processing, and delivery of garments while adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest and hotel laundry in line with SOPs, ensuring items are clean and in good condition.
• Store and handle chemicals safely to protect yourself and colleagues.
• Operate laundry machines according to instructions, respecting weight limits and settings.
• Separate linen and garments by use and colour before washing.
• Collect laundry from guest rooms promptly and sort items for dry‑cleaning, pressing, or washing.
• Verify that all guest items have been correctly processed before delivery.
• Deliver laundry to rooms, observing “Do Not Disturb” requests.
• Provide billing details to the cashiering department at shift end.
• Assist colleagues with assignments and undertake any related hotel duties or special projects.

Required profile

• Knowledge of hotel laundry procedures and garment care.
• Basic understanding of fabric types, stain removal, and laundry symbols.
• Ability to complete laundry request forms and accurately tag garments.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail to prevent loss or damage of guest clothing.
• Basic communication skills for professional interaction with guests and team members.
• Awareness of hotel safety, hygiene, and security standards.
