Laying Foreman

About the role

The Laying Foreman will lead the asphalt crew on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed to specifications, on time, and safely. This role involves planning daily tasks, supervising work, and maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the asphalt crew across various sites.
• Coordinate with the project manager to meet specifications and timelines.
• Plan and schedule daily tasks, including equipment and material allocation.
• Conduct regular inspections for quality control and safety compliance.
• Train and mentor new crew members on asphalt laying techniques.
• Troubleshoot issues during the laying process and implement adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment maintenance, and crew hours.
• Communicate with clients, addressing concerns and questions.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in asphalt paving, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of asphalt materials, equipment, and techniques.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment and flexible hours.
