Lead Civil Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to provide technical assurance and compliance for contractor deliverables on major projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing civil discipline documentation, supporting procurement and construction activities, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve civil discipline documentation, securing technical authority for Class 1 documents.
• Participate in progress meetings with contractors and conduct design review sessions.
• Resolve technical queries and evaluate concession requests with justified decisions.
• Support procurement activities, including vendor document reviews and approvals.
• Conduct physical inspections, construction and commissioning inspections, and punch‑listing as required.
• Release certifications (e.g., DAC/MC) and verify final documentation for completeness and correctness.
• Champion project safety culture and engage in safety‑related activities.
• Identify and resolve project management and engineering issues during FEED and early work phases.

Required profile

• Extensive civil engineering experience, preferably with PMC and ADNOC projects.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
