Lead, Cyber Security Operations (UAE National)

About the role

Lead the Cyber Security Operations function for TAQA Group, overseeing advanced threat detection and response across both IT and OT environments. The role ensures continuous protection of digital assets and critical infrastructure while complying with UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and controls.
• Prepare and deliver timely reports to senior management.
• Implement and maintain threat monitoring programs, SIEM use cases and SOC processes.
• Monitor, analyse and respond to emerging cyber threats such as malware, phishing, insider threats and APTs.
• Use SOC tools to hunt for indicators of compromise and suspicious activity.
• Analyse security event logs, network traffic and other data to identify anomalies.
• Assess network and system integrity, escalating findings to the Incident Response team.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during investigations and remediation.
• Conduct risk analysis, attack simulations and ethical hacking to develop proof‑of‑concept exploits.

Required profile

• UAE National.
• Proven experience in cyber security operations, threat detection and incident response.
• Ability to lead and coordinate security activities across multiple domains.

• Malware, phishing and APT analysis.
