Lead Internal Auditor

About the role

The Lead Internal Auditor will support the execution of the Internal Audit and Risk Assessment Plans, ensuring audit procedures are performed and documented to professional standards. This position contributes to effective governance and risk management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audit reviews in line with the audit plan, internal audit manual and professional standards.
• Prepare audit working papers and maintain compliance with the audit management system.
• Communicate audit matters, emerging issues and engagement status to the IA Director.
• Draft findings and recommendations, discuss them with auditees/process owners and agree on corrective actions.
• Perform follow‑up reviews to assess implementation of management action plans.
• Participate in special audit assignments and ad‑hoc requests.
• Assist in risk assessments and update risk registers under the IA Director’s supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 4–8 years of internal audit experience (Big 4 experience is a plus).
• Experience working in the UAE or GCC.
• Relevant professional certification (CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, etc.) is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
