Lead Mechanical Engineer – HVAC (Greenfield Projects)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to head HVAC engineering for offshore greenfield projects in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of HVAC and pressurization systems for a range of offshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all HVAC engineering activities from concept through start‑up for ADNOC offshore greenfield projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of HVAC engineers and designers, ensuring deliverables meet schedule and quality standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, structural, HSE, telecom).
• Develop design basis, philosophy, specifications and perform detailed calculations (cooling, heating, ventilation, pressurization).
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC offshore standards, international codes, offshore environmental and safety regulations.
• Participate in engineering, model, constructability reviews and project meetings.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in offshore HVAC engineering for oil & gas facilities.
• Proven leadership in managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC offshore standards and international engineering codes.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi, interfacing with client and contractor offices.
