Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer to head the design and engineering of rotating equipment for instrument air and plant air system upgrades on offshore platforms. The role will be the focal point for all rotating equipment activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC offshore standards and delivering safe, reliable, and energy‑efficient compressor operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for rotating equipment, overseeing air compressor selection, driver sizing, and performance evaluation.
• Review and approve vendor datasheets, performance curves, and design calculations for compressors, drivers, lubrication oil systems, after‑coolers, intercoolers, filters and silencers.
• Validate flow, pressure, turndown ranges, material selections, and package layout to meet ADNOC CoPs, API 617/618/672 and relevant ISO standards.
• Provide final technical approval on rotating equipment design packages and ensure integration with control and protection systems.
• Lead vendor oversight, coordinate with I&C teams, and enforce reliability, maintainability and environmental compliance on live offshore platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience (≈180 months) in rotating equipment engineering within the oil & gas sector.
• Proven experience with offshore compressor systems, FEED studies, and owner’s engineer level governance.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC offshore engineering standards and API specifications.
• Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.
