Lead Piping Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Rejlers Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to manage piping design review and layout assignments for major and smaller projects in the oil & gas sector. The role involves delivering safe, on‑time, and high‑quality piping solutions while supporting bids and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with design discipline engineers and project managers to resolve technical issues during project development.
• Review client technical documentation, interpret survey data, conduct site surveys, and develop piping deliverables including layouts, GADs, isometrics, and plot plans.
• Supervise preparation of piping drawings, material take‑offs, and ensure compliance with quality management and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, and third parties, and participate in progress review meetings.
• Prepare and lead piping workshops, model reviews, and contribute optimization ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of piping design experience, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industries.
• Proven leadership, communication, and analytical skills in a senior engineering role.
