Lead Piping Engineer – PMC (Early MP)

About the role

Wood is recruiting an experienced PMC Lead Piping Engineer for the ADNOC project in Abu Dhabi. The position is full‑time at the client office and involves overseeing the design, development and implementation of piping systems to ensure functionality, safety and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for all piping design and ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and relevant international codes.
• Coordinate, monitor and manage piping design activities with the EPC contractor, delivering within the project schedule.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables from consultants and contractors, guaranteeing quality and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in equipment sizing, layout, model and design reviews, and support installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil‑and‑gas experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical team and interpersonal abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of international piping codes and standards.
• Proficiency with engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Ability to make independent decisions and solve complex problems.

Required skills
