Lead Planning Engineer – Site

About the role

KBR is seeking a Lead Planning Engineer for a PMC project in Abu Dhabi, focusing on NGL/Gas Processing. Reporting to the Project Control Manager, the role oversees planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and schedule risk analysis for the EPC Contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PMC planning, scheduling and schedule‑control activities, reviewing EPC Contractor baselines across all project phases.
• Perform critical‑path, float, variance and schedule‑trend analysis, and monitor contractual milestones.
• Prepare weekly/monthly schedule reports, dashboards, milestone trackers and management presentations.
• Lead and coordinate PMC Planning and Project Controls personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years of planning and project controls experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
• At least 5 years as Lead Planning Engineer on mega projects > USD 4 billion, with GCC experience and prior ADNOC PMC experience.
• PMP certification mandatory.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Deltek Acumen, Primavera Risk Analysis or Safran Risk.
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of CPM, schedule health assessment, progress measurement, forecasting, recovery planning, delay analysis, TIA and EOT assessment.
