Lead Process Engineer

About the role

The Lead Process Engineer will act as the Technical Authority for all process engineering activities related to the Instrument Air (IA) and Plant Air (PA) system upgrade on offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and safe, reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and sizing of air compressors, IA/PA systems, and associated equipment, providing final technical approval on all deliverables.
• Validate air quality, dryer sizing, moisture removal efficiency, and segregation between IA and PA systems.
• Coordinate brownfield integration, tie‑ins to live headers, and support SIMOPS planning and execution.
• Develop and review process safeguarding studies, HAZID/HAZOP inputs, PSV sizing, and safety documentation.
• Maintain process discipline registers, prepare progress reports, and verify as‑built documentation for commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of oil & gas industry experience with EPC exposure.
• Experience on ADNOC offshore projects is a strong advantage.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS and UniSim for process simulation.
• Experience using AVEVA E3D and PDMS for design review.
• Knowledge of PSV sizing software and related safety standards.
• Strong understanding of ADNOC process standards, API, and ISO compressor specifications.
