Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls and Operability

About the role

The Lead Product Service Engineer - Turbine Controls & Operability provides direct technical support to global GE Vernova Gas Power customers across three primary workstreams. The role is based in Dubai and involves owning the technical resolution of complex controls system issues for gas and steam turbines.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical resolution of multiple complex controls system issues, including gas turbine and steam controls and operability, with a sense of urgency.
• Identify trending issues and provide countermeasures to protect the customer fleet, then communicate them to the relevant audiences (TILs, PSxBs, ETCs, OnTheGo alerts, etc.).
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Product Management, Regional Customer Engineering Centers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, vendors and customers to deliver timely technical resolutions.
• Drive complex root cause analyses through root cause and corrective action, communicating internally with field teams and GEV leadership and externally to end customers.
• Lead and promote the GE Vernova Way traits, lean principles and simplification in day-to-day activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in controls/operations/engineering or installation of gas turbines, steam turbines or related functions.
• Proven experience in a customer-facing or engineering role.
• Strong oral and written communication in English; Arabic is an additional desirable trait.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, from field engineers to plant managers and leadership, and to switch between multiple concurrent projects as priorities change.

Required skills

• Expertise in ControlST application algorithm modifications and turbine operational trend data analysis.
• Navigating GE Vernova resource databases and organizations to deliver solutions under pressure.
• Desirable: proven experience with GE Vernova HA/F class gas turbines.
