Lead Project Manager

About the role

The Lead Project Manager leads and manages the end-to-end delivery of major projects, ensuring successful execution in line with approved scope, budget, programme, quality standards and organisational objectives. The role covers project teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of projects from initiation through completion and handover.
• Develop and manage execution plans, programmes, budgets, milestones, resources and delivery strategies.
• Ensure projects meet scope, budget, schedule, quality and contractual requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate Design, Technical, Commercial, Procurement, Construction and HSE functions.
• Manage consultants, contractors and subcontractors, monitor progress against milestones and KPIs, and run recovery or mitigation plans.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and constraints; oversee budgets, forecasts, variations and financial performance with the Commercial team.
• Manage change control and chair progress, coordination and stakeholder meetings.
• Maintain client, authority and contractor relationships, review project documentation and report performance to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, HSE standards and quality requirements, and oversee testing, commissioning, handover, close-out and lessons learned.
• Mentor Project Managers and other team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 12-15 years of project management experience, including large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong experience in real estate development, construction, infrastructure or major projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors.
