Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to build and run the QA function for a regulated digital‑asset platform in the UAE. The role will own quality strategy, governance, automation and release readiness across API, web and mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and scale the QA function from scratch, defining processes, standards and governance.
• Develop the overall QA strategy, test framework, automation roadmap and quality governance model.
• Lead functional, integration, API, performance, security, regression and release testing.
• Own release readiness, providing go/no‑go recommendations for production releases.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates.
• Establish QA governance across internal teams and multiple external technology vendors.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, Banking partners and external delivery teams.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of QA/testing experience in complex, distributed environments.
• Proven track record of building or leading a QA function, preferably as the sole QA owner.
• Strong manual and automation testing experience, with hands‑on expertise in API, web and mobile testing.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, digital assets, blockchain or other regulated financial‑technology domains is highly preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across internal and external teams.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks covering API, web and mobile testing.
• CI/CD pipeline integration and automated quality gates.
• DevOps practices and continuous delivery concepts.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and quality governance.
