Lead Welding Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Welding Engineer to direct welding engineering, qualification, inspection and quality assurance across major Oil & Gas EPC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project welding strategies and qualification plans.
• Lead welding inspection programmes and coordinate NDT activities (UT, RT, PT, MT).
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and training to welding engineers, inspectors and personnel.
• Manage welding materials, consumables and ensure compliance with international codes and project specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of welding engineering experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or related engineering discipline.
• International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification or equivalent.
• ADNOC approval as Senior or Lead Welding Engineer.

Required skills

• Welding Procedure Qualification (WPS/PQR) and Welder Qualification Programs.
• Piping, pipeline, tank and structural welding expertise.
• NDT coordination and review (UT, RT, PT, MT).
• Welding metallurgy and quality management systems.
