Learning Assistant – Arabic

About the role

Raha International School is looking for a Learning Assistant – Arabic for its Jebel Ali School in Dubai. The role supports individuals and small groups under the direction of the Class Teacher, and requires high levels of written and spoken English and Arabic. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Work with individual or small groups of children as directed by the class teacher and subject teachers, helping them access the curriculum and changing approach as needed.
• Support recording and presenting evidence of learning, and follow agreed programmes of work towards set targets.
• Take notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books and give verbal and written feedback to the Class Teacher on reports, assessments and IEPs.
• Contribute to children's physical, emotional and social wellbeing, supervise children during breaks and accompany them on school trips following school policy.
• Help staff with minor admin tasks such as photocopying, filing and record keeping, prepare and store resources, and communicate professionally with parents.
• Carry out other similar tasks directed by the Class Teacher, including supporting other classes or areas of the school.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education in English and Maths; a degree is preferred.
• Experience or aptitude for working with students; previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
• High levels of written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Enthusiasm for working with students, good team player, able to use own initiative.
• Available to join Jebel Ali School in January 2027.
